The 2009 King Cobra S9-1 F/ST fairway wood has been designed to suit the majority of todays serious golfing population. Incorporating all of Cobras cutting edge technology developed for the S9-1 wood range the F/ST model is set up to optimise distance and accuracy with a head designed to promote a slight draw biased, high launch, low to mid spin ball flight. Aimed at players with swing speeds between 87-108 mph it incorporates a mid weight shaft with a mid flex/torque profile and a softer grip, all aimed at increasing accuracy and distance amongst this group of players. As with all the Cobra S9-1 range the F/ST model incorporates Hotter 9 Point technology to maximise ball speed across the whole clubface. With a high MOI and a large face area incorporating Cobras Milled Dual Rhombus Technology the S9-1 has seen both the face and head shapes precisely redesigned to allow weight to be optimally placed and ball speed maximised. Cobra’s unique speed tuning means that discretionary weight can be placed differently in each model as a result of a new internal rib geometry. In the case of the S9-1 F/ST it is this which, in conjunction with a lighter club and F/ST shaft, delivers the slight draw-bias, high-launch, low-mid spin ball flight that consistently gives golfers the increased distance and accuracy they are searching for from the fairway.
